About Simon & Simon Financial
Choosing a financial partner is about far more than just finances. Here at Simon & Simon Financial, LLC, we take pride in the options and services we offer our clients.
Our mission is to provide sound recommendations designed for your greatest benefit. We strive to eliminate the guesswork often associated with retirement planning by providing clear information and recommendations. We assist in the design and then implement a plan for your retirement. We then remain by your side, monitoring how the plan is working, making any necessary adjustments as life changes along the way.
Retirement represents a fundamental change in your life, yet most retirees don’t match that with a fundamental change in their portfolios. Our primary focus is to assist those planning for, entering into or already in retirement to make that transition smoothly.
Meet The Simons
Gerald and Chad Simon are a Louisiana-based father and son team specializing in independent financial planning and insurance solutions. Their powerful combination of extensive experience (50+ years) and unbridled energy has earned them a loyal following of devoted clients.
Both Gerald and Chad have obtained their Series 65 licenses, making them Investment Advisor Representatives (IARs) and most importantly, financial fiduciaries. As fiduciaries, they are required by law to only give advice which is in the best financial interest of their clients.
While their firm, Simon & Simon Financial, is based in Covington, Louisiana, they serve clients across the country.
Gerald Simon, the senior partner, is an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR), fiduciary and Chartered Life Underwriter who believes his firm’s multi-generational approach gives clients the best of both worlds: Combining the experience to evaluate investment and insurance products with a youthful approach to discovering new avenues of opportunity for clients. Mr. Simon graduated magna cum laude, in 1962, from Northwestern State University. Upon graduation, he accepted a position as an auditor with Deloitte and Touché, an International Certified Public Accounting firm. Over the years, he has served as a guest speaker for the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, The Covington Bar Association, The Slidell Bar Association, The Southern Medical Association, and as a guest lecturer at Charity Hospital School of Nursing. Mr. Simon was also a motivational speaker for the Million Dollar Round Table. Additionally, Mr. Simon has served on the Presidential Advisory Councils for Security Life of Denver and Lowry Financial Services Corporation of Florida. Mr. Simon’s unparalleled 50 years in the financial services industry gives Simon & Simon a unique advantage when developing customized retirement planning strategies for their clients.
Chad Simon is a financial advisor, Investment Advisor Representative (IAR), registered Fiduciary and Medicare and Social Security Specialist with Simon & Simon Financial. Chad began working alongside his father in high school and became a member of the firm after college. Chad graduated from Louisiana State University in 2008. After graduation, Chad strongly considered enrolling in a graduate program with the intention of starting a career in anesthesiology. After much contemplation and analysis of the imminent implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare), Chad decided that a career in the healthcare industry might not be as rewarding as he had originally hoped. He instead chose to invest his considerable knowledge and expertise into establishing himself as an authority on Social Security, Medicare, Retirement Planning and Insurance solutions. Chad specializes in the areas of tax-deferred investments, Social Security benefits and wealth management. Chad has his Series 65 license, is a licensed Life & Health producer in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Georgia. He is also a current member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an accreditation he has earned every year he has worked at Simon & Simon Financial, LLC.
Part of Simon & Simon Financial’s considerable success comes from strategic partnerships it has built with Certified Public Accountants across the country. When clients ask their CPA “What should I do with my investments?” or bring their investment plan in for review, these CPAs call the Simons.
Because of the regulatory environment, CPAs who aren’t licensed are careful not to give investment advice. Instead, they team up with the Simons so their client’s investment choices are integrated with their tax and financial decisions. Not only are the clients getting sound investment advice, their accountant is always up to speed on the status of their investments.
Being truly independent, and not “captive” to a large company’s product portfolio, is another advantage the Simons’ provide to their clients. While other advisors are limited to selling only the products offered by a brokerage house or national insurance agency, the Simons have access to an unlimited portfolio of solutions, allowing them to offer the best products to suit a client’s individual needs.
